In-beam test results of the Super-FRS GEM-TPC detector prototype with relativistic uranium ion beam

As an essential part of the Super-FRS particle identification, GEM-TPC detector in a twin field-cage configuration will provide position information at up to 1 MHz counting rate with spatial resolution < mm and tracking efficiency >95 %. This is designed particle-beam projectiles ranging from protons uranium. The performance single newly integrated AWAGS readout electronics differential output was studied FRS for response uranium beam 850 MeV/u intensity 1000 ions/spill. result shows that clusterization algorithm developed this analysis works properly. 0.74–0.81 mm, detection >99 %, >96 % were found. work describes methodology used achieve such results detail.
